The mor the cars are stnding, the higher fuel consumption will be. One hour at idle speed ist equiavalent to 0,7 to one litre of fuel. But it is not the time the car is standing, much mor important is the numer of stopps. Scine every accelartion increasses fuel consumption significantly, it matters more than anything else. During our test drive the stopps varied from 60 up to 85. Best wishes :-?

Ja ich hatte ein 37kw pure (2004) und der hat auch viel muhe um 135 zu fahren. Auch weil der getriebe ubersetzung anders ist als beim 1st generation smart. Ich finde es fur ein 2004 auto nicht normal, ok: es gibt auch ein 45kw, aber jedes auto muss ohne muhe 140 fahren konnen.

I think the 451 shifts quicker, but also much smoother. The gas between downshifting is smart: less nicking.

I'm surprised about the fuel consumption of the 451 cdi. I think the reason is not the open partikelfilter, because that is not standard in NL, BE and they are compaining aswell about that. I really do hope that in 2008 the fortwo meets the EU5 norm. For example: the Renault Laguna 1.5dci has EU5 without a partical filter. Smart should beat that, with the little engine! Of course the engine is now cleaner then the 450 cdi, cause that could only meet the EU4 with filter. The 451 can do that without filter.

Hi, in Holland the smart centre says Q4, but that ends very soon.

Ja das zwischengas ist wirklich gut, das nicken ist deutlich weniger mit zuruck schalten. Leider immer noch da beim hochschalten. Smart sagt das es 20% schneller ist als normale 451. Der brabus soll ein DSG getriebe haben :)

Im AMS: 71PS MHD 0-100 15.2 sec Verbrauch 6.9L 98PS Brabus 0-100 11.1 sec. Verbrauch 8L

AMS sagt: Stadt 6.1L Verbrauchs-runde 5.2L Max 8.5L Mix: 6.9L 0-100 15.2 sec
